Your sweet spot? It’s where your personality, life experiences, gifts, talents, abilities, and the causes that stir your heart intersect connect. Join Cindy and learn how to experience purpose, pleasure, and passion in your everyday life.

Ephesians 5:22
Wives submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

When you and your husband disagree and no one is budging, someone must budge. This is when I fall back on what I call the “God clause.”

Notice that Ephesians says, “submit to your husbands as to the Lord” (italics mine). The Bible says that the one to budge is the wife – and we do it as to the Lord.

Over the years, I’ve prayed many times, “Lord, as unto You…. I do not agree, but because Your Word says I am to budge – I do it unto YOU.

Sadly, submission is misunderstood and misdefined by the world and the modern feminist. Actually, I think the modern feminist movement is very emasculating. (That’s another day’s post for anyone who’s interested.)

But submission... death to self... is God’s economy for fruit in the home.* The Bible promises we GAIN when we are willing to lose.   LIFE,  comes from death.   Husbands who want nothing to do with our Jesus – can come alive through this act of death to self…

Submission is healthy and accomplishes all God purposed for it to accomplish when done in a healthy abiding relationship with Jesus…

I’m living proof.  As well as many others I know.
