Deuteronomy 33:25, “…your strength will equal your days.”
Do you ever start the day feeling like you don’t have what it takes? On days you lack zeal and focus; tired and weary; or when your demands exceed your energy level, do you wonder how you’ll make it through?
This morning I noticed a little verse I’ve never seen before. Looking closer – I found a treasure!
Now let me say from the get go: It’s a promise only to those who belong to Christ, God’s children.** If you are one of God’s children, this is a verse to memorize and pray daily for yourself. Here it is:
“…your strength will equal your days.”
In other words, it’s a promise that says:
We will have the strength to do whatever God assigns us to do.
AND
We will have the strength to bear whatever the day brings.
This means the promise of strength in our responsibilities at home; to our man; to our children; to our teenage children; to our adult children; to our aging parents; the demands at work; the demands in ministry – whatever it is: God promises to give us the strength we need to do the assignment He’s given us to do.
For those days:
- when our emotional strength is so small, we don’t even want to open email
- when we don’t feel we have what it takes to respond to difficulties
- when hard things come into our lives unexpectedly
We, as God’s children, can claim this verse in prayer. We can claim His strength working in us to do whatever we need to do.
Memorize this little verse. Pray this verse and claim it each day. God’s Word is like a super-vitamin to the soul:)
“Lord, thank You for the treasures found in Your Word.
Father, please give me the strength to face whatever comes my way today.
Though I feel weak, because of Your Spirit living in me – I have what it takes.
For You promise, “my strength will equal my days.”
Make Your Word a reality in my life.
In Jesus Name I pray.”
