Isaiah 7:14, “The virgin will be with a child and will give birth to a son and will call Him Immanuel.”
The Christmas countdown is on! For many, this means the shopping; the decorating, the cooking, the parties and the planning for family and friend gatherings have commenced.
With all the busyness, it’s easy to forget the significance of the Baby in the manger and merely go through the motions of this special season.
Christmas is a time to remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus, God’s Son into the world. Jesus’ birth represents God doing a totally new thing for all humanity.
In His infinite wisdom, God knew we couldn’t do enough good works to get to Him. Even on our best day, we can’t measure up to God’s standards.
So God made a radical decision. He decided to come to us by sending us the gift of His Son, Jesus! The Baby in the manger, God in the flesh, came to us. The One Who spoke the Universe into existence and created the entire human race, came to us.
Another name for Jesus was “Immanuel,” meaning “God with us.”
It does not matter if we are from America, Africa, Asia or Europe; whether our skin is white or black or brown. It does not matter whether our religious affiliation is Baptist, Catholic, Buddhist or Muslim – God the Creator sent Jesus to rescue us all and to bring us into right standing with Himself.
Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
Have you responded to God’s Gift named Jesus?
The way we respond is by acknowledging we have done wrong things God calls sin. Then personally choosing to make the conscience decision to believe and receive Jesus into our lives. Jesus is God’s ONLY way of being right with Him.
Amazingly, this is all that’s required in order to be a child of God. If you have not already, respond to this amazing gift. For more information, click here or feel free to contact us. We will help you!
