Last Dear Younger Me…

by | Sep 26, 2019 | Mother/Daughter, Personal Stories

If you could give your younger self some advice, what would it be?

Today we’re concluding our blog series entitled “Dear Younger Me…”   Each of the KGM Team Members took time to reflect and share what they would tell their younger self. Click here to see past posts!

Today, I want to introduce you to Angie.

Angie shines the bright light of Jesus in the corporate world. Her broken childhood helps her relate to the messiness of the people God puts in her path. Armed with empathy and the truth of Jesus, Angie helps heal the wounds and hearts of the lost. She also applies her extensive corporate experience to the management and coordination of our ministry events as our Conference and Retreat Leader.

  1. You will learn that hurting people hurt other people. If you are presently experiencing hurt due to someone else, there will be a time when you will not carry the guilt and burdens of the choices those around you have made. A lot of good is going to come out of what you are experiencing in life right now. You will soon learn that God can truly heal and restore the pain others have caused. You will have an opportunity to share with others who have had the same experiences.
  2. Stop worrying! Everything is going to be okay! As a matter of fact, it’s going to be better than your finite mind could possibly comprehend right now. I wish I could give you a big hug and tell you that.
  3. Take time to investigate Jesus. The world can make it sound as if you have to live a boring life of perfection, following a lot of rules and fitting into a prescribed box in order to know Jesus. But that’s a lie! Jesus knows your life is far from perfect and loves you unconditionally. He accepts you no matter how messed up you are on the inside. He will make you new and give you a life of adventure. Stop thinking following Jesus is boring. Start investigating how to know Jesus. Don’t wait! He will change your life and bless you beyond what you can imagine.
