Meet Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life
Jeanne was appointed to the role of President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund in the fall of 2012. In this capacity she proudly directs the small non-profit organization committed to restoring a culture of life in the United States, most notably through the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., held on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
Previously Jeanne worked with the Family Research Council (FRC), where she focused on issues related to the inherent dignity of the human person, including abortion, women’s health, and end-of-life issues.
Jeanne has made frequent media appearances including interviews on MSNBC, CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS, and others. Her writings have appeared in The New York Times, U.S. News and World Report, USA Today, the Washington Post and numerous others publications.
Jeanne holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from James Madison University and a Master’s degree in the theology of marriage and family from the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family.
Jeanne resides in northern Virginia with her husband, David.
Fun and interesting facts about Jeanne:
- The first thing she does in the morning: get on my knees and offer my day to God.
- Her breakfast consists of: coffee every day! I love eggs when I have time and sometimes peanut butter and toast and fruit.
- Her favorite place to lunch is… My husband and I just took a wonderful vacation to Mexico and my favorite place to lunch was in this little restaurant where we would get ceviche and fish tacos. It was the best!
- I never miss an episode of… Not so much that I never miss an episode, but I do love HGTV; and historical dramas like Downton Abby and the Crown or even the wonderful biographical John Adams from HBO.
- She loves to wear… comfy clothes. We have casual Friday at the March for Life. Jeans are my favorite!
- If I could rid the world of one thing, it would be: sin
- What aspect of your daily routine do you look forward to most? Hard to say just one. I love prayer; I love relaxing at the end of the day with my husband; and I love eating meals 😉 especially dinner!
- She is obsessed with… My fitbit. I got it for Christmas and am totally obsessed with steps, heartrate, calories burned, sleep etc. 🙂
- Her favorite tradition(s): I’m Catholic and we are big on traditions like Stations of the Cross, Lenten sacrifices and celebrating feast days (Christmas, Easter) with a lot of fervor.
